Leisure Village, Leisure Knoll, and Leisure Glen are 3 Leisure Communities in Ridge Long Island. Each of these communities is an active 55 and over residence.

 

Leisure Village was built in the 1970’s.  At Leisure Village, included for your enjoyment is a clubhouse with billiard room, library, ceramics, wood shop, gym, sewing, cards meeting room and social events. Outside is a pool, tennis,  private 9-hole golf course, shuffleboard, BBQ, gardens and more. Leisure Village is a 24 hour guard-gated 55 and over condo community. The condominiums are attached units with 1 and 2 bedrooms. 

Leisure Knoll was established in 1972 and continued into the early 1980’s. It offers a pool, 2 clubhouses, gym, dance floor, billiards and tennis. Leisure Knoll is not gated, but it has roving security patrols in the evening hours.   These are mostly detached single family units within a Homeowners Association. 

Leisure Glen is the newer of the 3 leisure communities in Ridge New York, and was built in the late 1980’s and early 2000. It has a 24 hour guard-gated entry, an active clubhouse with many activities including billiard room, card rooms, sewing, ceramics, music, library, gym, auditorium with stage, get-togethers and more. Here’s a lovely community on Long Island that is not very common for our area. It’s a Single Family Home neighborhood called Summerfield Estates that we visited with an out-of-town potential buyer.

Summerfield Estates is located in Holtsville Long Island 11742. It’s a 24 hour guard-gated community that features Single Family Homes. This unique residential complex includes several distinctive home styles including Colonial, Victorian, Post Modern and Ranch style floor plans.

Summerfield is easily reached by taking the Long Island Expressway to the North Ocean Avenue Exit and following it to the Summerfield Estates Gatehouse. Opened in 1997 on over 200 acres, these residences have gas heat, central air conditioning, a one or two car garage, basements and backyard patios. The homes were constructed with approximately 1,800 to over 3,000 sq ft and are positioned on approximately 1/4 acre of property and up.
