Long Island is the perfect place for Halloween. We offer a great friendly outdoor exhibit called “Octobercation and our Spooky Famous indoor “Haunted Tunnel” Admission is only $2.00 for both. Mums, Cornstalks, Straw bundles and decorations are also available. Woodside Nursery also offers a one of a kind Children’s Birthday Party and Fun educational Field Trips. Pumpkin Park at Adventureland – Farmingdale, New York There’s a whole lot o’ fun brewing at Adventureland. Pumpkin Park is a safe, fun, FREE Halloween Event. Halloween Hayride & Safe Zone – Northport, New York The Village of Northport Halloween Hayride sponsored by the Northport Chamber of Commerce takes place again this October. Scarecrow Contest – Brookhaven, New York Join your neighbors for a fun afternoon on Saturday, Oct 17, 2009 at 1pm at the Brookhaven Library. The day is filled with music, scarecrow building and good old fashioned fun. The Banjo Rascals will be back to entertain us while scarecrows are being built. Those wishing to build scarecrows should call the library to reserve a spot. Participants should arrive with a prepared scarecrow head and the clothes necessary to build your scarecrow. The library will provide a cross frame and all the stuffing you might need. In the event of rain, the Banjo Rascals will entertain us with a sing along. Crosses will be distributed to anyone who would like to make their scarecrow at home. Suitable for all ages. Brookhaven Free Library The Darkside Haunted House – Wading River, New York
Darkside Haunted House is not recommended for kids under 10 years old. The Haunted Village is appropriate for all ages before 6pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Spooky Walk – Center Moriches, New York As visitors enter the gates, they will encounter some of the scariest, most grotesque creatures they have ever seen. Their bravery will be challenged as they walk an inescapable route into The Black Woods. This year’s Spooky Walk is geared towards older children, teenagers and adults. Younger children may also attend, but it is up to the parent or caregiver to determine if their child can handle it. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $12.00, with proceeds going to benefit the handicapped children at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Food, drinks and souvenirs will be sold at the end of the walk. Spooky walk dates are October 16,17,23 and 24th. Gates open at 7pm. Chet Swezey Road Bayville Scream Park – Bayville, New York Every year the doors of the Bay Family Mansion are unlocked. The ghosts and ghouls come out to play. They invade all of Bayville Adventure Park. Bayville Adventure Park transforms into a spooky world of frights and surprises to become Bayville Scream park. Featuring Bloodworth Manor, Uncle Needle’s Fun House of Fear, Temple of Terror, Zombie Pirates and Evil in the Woods! Tickets are $14.75 per attraction or buy combo passes for all halloween events.
