In Middle Island New York, there is a co-operative community where the same entry is used for 3 separate Co-op communities and also a rental complex.

There is Lake Pointe Owners, Picasso Way Owners and The Shores at Lake Pointe.  Each is managed by a separate management group.  There are 2 clubhouses, pools, tennis, gyms, and play areas.  Each has different application fees and various exterior and interior floor plans. The community is served by The Longwood School District #12.

Opened in 1983, there are upper units and ground level units, plus ranch style designs. The community consists of 1 bedroom 1 bath units, 2 bedroom 1 bath, and 2 bedrooms 1.5 bath co-ops.  Some upper co-ops have a balcony and some lower units have a patio.  Each community also has fenced lake use, central air conditioning and gas heat. There are shared basement storage units in some areas. Each unit in this community has oil heat and gas cooking.  There are upper and ground level units with a terrace or patio and also 2 story duplex units with the bedrooms on the upper levels. Dogs are permitted up to 30 lbs. The community of The Woodlands has a pool, a relaxing gazebo, studio apartments, plus 1 and 2 bedroom co-ops.

The street names in the neighborhood are Finch, Mallard, Arch, Cardinal Lane and Toehee Place.
