If you want to move to an established 55+ community in Nassau County, there’s a nice neighborhood at The Seasons in Plainview New York in Zip Code 11803.

 

You can reach The Seasons by The Long Island Expressway Exit 48 Round Swamp Road and follow the North Service Road to the Entrance which is on the right. 

 

The Seasons in Plainview opened in 2007. It offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, central air conditioning and gas heat.  There are amenities too, including a clubhouse, gym, outdoor pool and play area.  It is situated close to the Long Island Expressway, The Northern State Parkway, Route 135, Woodbury, Plainview and Syosset shopping, plus the Long Island Railroad Station in Hicksville or Syosset.

 

 

 These are attached condos in groupings with upper level or ground level condos.  The upper units have a loft (no elevator) and the lower units have a full basement.  There are no garages here in the 55+ section, but there are ample parking spaces.

St. James Long Island is located near the Villages of Nissequogue and Head Of Harbor.  This area was one of the earliest settlements in the Town of Smithtown, and was once a popular vacation area for stage and screen actors to spend their summers.

 

Most of the larger homes are North of Route 25A and bordering the Nissequogue River.  More modest homes are situated near the shopping district by Lake Avenue.

 

For those 55 and over, there is the Gated Fairfield at St. James, a condominium community with an active clubhouse, pools, tennis courts, walking path and many clubs. There is also a Co-op community known as Kensington Gardens, which offers its owners a clubhouse and inground pool. We have sold at both of these communities.

 

There are two Single Family Home Gated communities. One has a 24 hour gatehouse with guard, and the other one has a code-gated system. Most of the area is a suburban North Shore community with individual home sites.
