It’s Apple Picking Time On Long Island

As the fun filled days of summer disappears, the fall temperatures greets us with a colorful time of year as apple season approaches.   Availability depends on the  weather and the apple supply, both of which can be unpredictable. Dates listed below are projected, but check websites or call to confirm before visiting the following.                         apple

Davis Peach Farm
Hulse Landing Road, Wading River
Pick-your-own peaches up to mid-October, nectarines through late September, and apples through October. Open 9am-6pm daily.

Filasky Farm
604 Church Lane, Aquebogue;
Apple picking sunrise to sunset through the fall. Call for availability.

Fort Salonga Farm
30 Meadow Glen Road, Northport
Apple picking through October. Pick-your-own raspberries and strawberries until first frost.  Open daily 10am-2pm.

Lewin Farms
812 Sound Avenue, Wading River
U-pick apples and pumpkins through October. Open daily 9am-5pm and closed Tuesdays.

Milk Pail Farm & Orchard
50 Horsemill Lane, Water Mill
Apple and pumpkin picking through October. All apple trees are semi-dwarf for easy picking. Minimum apple pick is 1/2 bushel (20 pounds). Open Friday-Sunday and holidays 10am-5:30pm.

Seven Ponds Orchard
65 Seven Ponds Road, Water Mill
Apple and raspberry picking through November. Hayrides, five-acre corn maze, picnic area. Farm market with pre-picked fruits and vegetables, homemade pies, jams, and snacks. Open daily 9am-6pm.

Wickham Farms
28700 Route 25, Cutchogue
Apple picking through September. Hayrides 9am-4pm on Saturdays in September and October and Columbus Day. Open Monday-Saturday 9am-4pm- closed Sundays.

Woodside Farms
116 Manor Lane, Jamesport
U-pick apples through October. Farm stand with pies, apple butter, and snacks for sale. Open weekends 9am-5pm.
