Leisure Village was established in the 1970′s, and is one of the more affordable and active gated 55 and over Condo communities in Suffolk County. All the Condos at Leisure Village in Ridge New York are attached Ranch Style units. Some have a one car garage and some have a sun-room. All have electric heat with temperature controls in each room. There 1 and 2 bedroom Floor Plans, with 1, 1.5, or 2 baths. There’s a clubhouse, outdoor pool, 9 hole executive golf course, picnic area with BBQ, bocci, horseshoes, and shuffleboard. The Recreational Center offers main lobby, library, sewing, gym, ceramics, billiards, wood shop, card room, movies, bingo and more.There are special events and day trips too. This is the most affordable of the 3 neighborhoods.


Leisure Knoll is an established 55+ in Ridge. Most of the homes at Leisure Knoll in Ridge Long Island are free-standing units, but there are some that are semi-attached. All the homes at Leisure Knoll are Ranch style with easy one level living, and all have a 1 car garage. You can reach Leisure Knoll from the Long Island Expressway Exit 68N to Whiskey Road. This well-maintained established community was opened in 1972. With many of the homes around 40 years old, they may need some updating. Most of the homes at Leisure Knoll in Ridge NY have 2 bedrooms with either 1, 1.5, or 2 baths. There are laundry areas in the homes and some units have enclosed sun porches. It features central air conditioning and electric heat. Various Floor Plans were constructed, and exteriors are blended throughout the community. This one is not a gated community.


Leisure Glen opened in the late 1980’s with semi-attached units, and again in 2000 with free-standing (detached) ranch homes. Leisure Glen is a 24 hour Guard-Gated Active 55+ community. There’s the beautiful 15,000 sq ft clubhouse, the Olympic size outdoor pool with hot tub, tennis courts, bocci, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and the mile long Paseo Path. Inside the clubhouse there are social events, the large auditorium, greenery room, many clubs, gym, library, music room, card room, sewing room, billiard room, pottery, and photography club. The structures are both semi-attached and detached, each with an attached 1 or 2 car garage, side or backyard patios, central air conditioning and gas heat. This is the newest of the 3 neighborhoods, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.

At all these Ridge 55+ communities, the lawns are maintained, and the snow is removed. Each of these communities has a monthly common charge fee that covers the amenities and common areas, and each welcomes at least 1 pet.

These are 2 story Townhouse floor plans. Each unit at this Willow Wood has central air conditioning, gas heat, attached 1 car garage and backyard patios. The units are attached along Plantation Drive. They are mostly 2-bedroom 2 bath units, 2 bedroom 2.5 baths, and 3 bedrooms 2.5 Townhouses. 
 
There are no amenities at this well-maintained community of Willow Wood at Smithtown, but 1 pet is welcome. Living here, it is easy access to parkway, shopping and parks.
