Nestled in Stony Brook in Suffolk County and the Town of Brookhaven, The “M” Section is a suburban single family home community. With tree-lined streets starting with the letter M, these addresses include Manchester Lane, Maymont, Madeley, Media, Maureen, Manor, Millstream Lane, Mosshill and Marwood Place, Memory Way, Midfield, Mariner Street, Magnet Street, and Mare Ct. (Not every “M” street though is situated in this area. For instance, Mills Road is not part of this neighborhood). There are also a few other streets within this area like Singingwood Dr, Brookview Ct, Lynbrook Rd and Westwood Avenue, but it is mostly known as The M Section.

The architectural style of the Stony Brook M Section homes is varied with Ranch, Colonial, Hi Ranch and Cape Floor Plans. Most of these homes do not have basements, but they usually have attached garages. The M Section was built during 1965 through the 1970′ s and again in the 1980’s.
